Throughout history a plethora of incidents have emerged where there were many attempts to exterminate large groups of people in condensed areas. Many of these incidents we may have known about and some, most likely, were never taught to any of us. Lets take a look at some of these. Now, respectfully numbers little or large absolutely do not convey the full content and intensity of these events. Share what you know about some of these events and your thoughts. Be respectful please Croatia:1million Cambodia: roughly 3million China/Nanjing: 300,000-800,000 Bataan Death March (Phillipines WW2): 10,650 Nazi Germany: 6million Iraq (desert storm/iran contra): 1.5million Poland: 4-5million Native Americans: 11.6million Ukraine: 10million Russia:20million Tienanmen square China: 2,600 Darfur/Sudan/Africa: 400,000 Rwana/Africa: 1million |

Wow.....well, given, of course I had thought there would be exterminations of people in other places, but I had never imagined the numbers to be so.....big. And aside from the places we have been taught of, the only place that's new to me, as of recently, would be Darfur. O.o.....Actually, the number my teacher gave us about the number of deaths in Darfur is surprisingly less then whats posted above. That's just plain sad. =[ But yeah, anyways, it's obvious genocide has been ruled in Darfur, except the reason why the US hasn't been helping out there is because (I've been taught) it has something to do with China and supporting whomever. Of course, money is involved....lots of it. Anyone want to discuss? |
