So, I just came back from a midnight viewing of the new Transformers Movie; Transformers: Rise Of The Fallen. And I must say, as a Transformers slight fan, I was severely unimpressed by this movie, hardcore. Was it just because it was a sequel and Michael Bay was just milking it for all it was worth?

Maybe.

But when I went, paid 12 dollars for my ticket, and after sitting in line for about 4 hours, waiting to get good seats, I sat down in the movie theater and expected a blow away experience. And what did I get in return?

I got lackluster action.

I got horrible deadpan humor.

And most of all, I got a brain turned to mush after sitting for about two and a half hours just watching, waiting for something good to happen. And in the movie's defense.. There was actually, in all reality, nothing new about it! I was so disappointed with this movie, but then again, a lot of people had high expectations for the movie. In the end, it was just a pretty horrid tale of reused concepts that failed miserably. It was like the movie was slowly building it's way up to the climax, and it just kinda left me hanging right at the building point. In fact, for most of the movie, it's just Sam and his little girlfriend traveling getting a bunch of lackluster information.

Now, I don't mean to be picky here, but there was only one good scene, and obviously, it was a fight scene, and it wasn't the final one either. However, as for the other fight scenes, unlike the first movie they failed to keep me at the edge of my seat. Also, I felt that they just ruined most of the fighting by taking everything into slow motion. Special effects are nice and all, but there is such a thing as too much.

As for the story, it was severely lacking. I'm not a spoiler, so I won't fill you in, however you can ask me over PMs or MSN or something if you really want to know. But it was just so bad, by the middle of the movie I seriously just wanted to walk out and attempt to get my 12 bucks back. In fact, I think Michael Bay pretty much just ruined Transformers all on his own for a lot of people, and the sad part was that people in the theater agreed with me.

Something else I also noticed.. Are monkeys rating these movies nowadays?! Seriously. There was about 15 8-10 year olds I saw in that theater. And the language in that movie.. For a G rated movie; was impeccable. They complain about kids becoming too abhorrent and violent, using cuss words and the like against their parents.. Now I'm no stranger to swearing, that's for sure. But seriously they dropped so many F bombs that it would make you want to take a bar of soap to the entire movie. Not to mention a lot of the humor that was depicted in the movie was severely high. And they say that kids won't get it.. But they do! I was surprised to see a 7 year old in front of me going.

"Hey Mom! That Decepticon has Huge Nuts!"

... Touche, Michael Bay. Considering you've got the balls to make something like this monstrosity? I think someone should stuff you in a blender. (See the movie to get that joke.)

In conclusion, I was appalled, I was devestated, and I seriously wanted to just throw up after watching that horrible movie.

So, word is that Michael Bay is making a third. I say he better Transform his directing skills into something more worthy, much when he had it back with the first one.

Any thoughts?

over here I think it was a 12 rated movie. so that wasn't too bad. But one scene really wasn't needed It totally grossed me and scared me for LIFE!!

Otherwise, the humor was subtle and good, maybe it was more British humor than anything. Just one actor bugged me as they didn't need him there at all. For someone who was meant to be a geek... it serious ruined some scene's.

Overall, I did like the movie. I don't think I want to see a third one though. That would be taking it too far.

Don't forget Megan Fox now has her pants cut off to such a small size they are as small as panties though she doesn't wear any.

Ah yes, this much is true. I swear, the entire movie was devoted to showing Megan Fox's body off.

And also proving that Greasemonkies can be hot too.. I guess?
